NEW 2024 - Vapes, E-Cigs, nicotine and the latest science - a new lesson all about the potential health impacts of vaping. Students will explore why vaping is best considered a smoking cessation aid and not a healthy recreational activity, by studying the latest information from hospital admissions and the information scientists have gained from studying what is really inside vape juice - from tin to arsenic in some cases. This is an hour long lesson, all editable and could be used with KS3 or KS4. Includes a lesson plan. This lesson is taken from the new EC Publishing Complete PSHE Package, found at the EC Publishing website. Naming Body Parts EYFS PSHE lesson. A detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for EYFS/Reception age children. This lesson has been designed for use with children in Reception, however, the PowerPoint and activities could be adapted for use with other age groups. In this lesson, the children will learn about the human body including the names and functions of a range of body parts. We will read From Head to Toe by Eric Carle before carrying out a choice of adult-led and independent activities. The lesson includes an optional adult-led activity that aims to teach children the anatomically-correct names for our private body parts as well as a basic understanding of consent and unsafe touch. The lesson includes a sing-along starter (to ensure a swift start to the lesson), a story with accompanying questions, an adult-led focus task, independent activities to be carried out during continuous provision, and a plenary task. Created to fit the new DfE and PSHE Association statutory 2020 /21 guidelines, the lesson includes a detailed PowerPoint, all editable with accompanying tasks and worksheets. The lesson has been left editable and is filled with engaging activities. It is designed to be ‘no prep’, so you can just pick it up and use it, although it is still adaptable should you wish to.
